I’ve been so obsessed with bracelets (or a more fun name…wrist candy 😜) recently and I think y’all noticed because I’ve been getting a ton of questions about them. I get Insta DMs a lot asking where I buy them, which ones are my favorite, and how I mix and match them.
So let’s talk about bracelets!
I don’t know if everyone is like this, but I think most people tend to favor one type of jewelry. You might be a ring girl, or never leave the house without your everyday necklace. My thing was earrings. I feel SO WEIRD without earrings as funny as it sounds.
Bracelets were actually one style I used to avoid because of my job. For the early part of my twenties I was a hairstylist, so bracelets would get pretty wrecked in the shampoo bowl. Now I do makeup and lash extensions, so my hands are still in my client’s face a lot. It kind of hinders me from wearing too many bracelets…don’t want to be super jingly in your face while I apply your blush 😆Despite the jingle, the new obsession is real!
The three I wear most, my absolute favorites!

The silver one with the “U” clasp is actually from Jamaica. My momma bought it for me, along with one for her and my sister when we were there for my brother’s wedding a few years back. The lady at the shop explained to us that if you point the “U” outward, it means you are welcoming love (“All the single ladies!”), and if you point it toward yourself it means you are taken. The trip was AMAZING and I am reminded every time I down at my bracelet. I thought you had to go to Jamaica to get one lol, but I actually found them online if you want to check them out here.
The one that says “grateful” is so special to me. If you missed it, my husband and I just bought a new house a few months back. At first every minute in our new home I was BEYOND grateful. I was in absolute bliss! After about a month I noticed I was taking things for granted. I never want to forget how special it was first moving in here, so I bought myself the bracelet to constantly remind myself what a dream come true living here is, and to always be GRATEFUL! Plus the brand that makes it is really cool. They are called “The Little Words Project” and their mission is to encourage women to be kind to themselves and others. Every bracelet they make features an inspiring message. You can shop my bracelet here.
On my really simple days, I only wear those two. When I want some fun sparkle for the day I also layer in this wrap bracelet from Victoria Emerson. I actually learned about these pieces from Courtney Shields who RAVES about them. She’s right! They are so easy to throw on and look like you’ve spent all this time mixing bracelets when they are really all one piece. That is an example of one of my main themes of this blog- looking like you tried when it was super effortless!
Sometimes I throw more bracelets in the mix depending on my outfit. Here are a few tips I use when mixing:
Mix Colors and metal tones. Some think it’s a fashion faux pas to mix silver and gold but it’s my favorite combo. I also love layering fun pops of color that compliment my outfit. Target is my favorite place to shop for these kinds of bracelets because they are so affordable. My favorite brand there for fun jewelry is definitely Sugar Fix. I’ll link a bunch below for you to check out!
Pick a star of the show. If you are going to wear a sh*t ton of bracelets, be pretty subtle with your other jewelry. For example, if I’m just wearing those two to three bracelets I talked about earlier, I will also rock a chunkier necklace or hoop earrings. But probably not statement pieces in every area.

Lastly, have fun! Do what feels right to you! We all have our own style and if it’s your vibe to wear all dainty pieces in all one shade…DO YOU BOO! If you want to layer EVERYTHING, again…DO YOU BOO! The reason we add jewelry is for fun right?!
